Korina has Found the civil organization “Digital Civism Mx” to promotes rights of quality for e-gov services and open goverment, privacy rights, Nethics and women’s empowerment with ICT.

She has helped to create a legal framework in IT (information technologies) and promote digital rights in Mexico.

Korina is a trainer in the Organization of American State (OAS), the Institute of Ortega-Vasconcelos, the Latin American Network of Information Law in open government, e-government  and  political e-communication courses for high-level officials in Latin America. She is a member of the research group in Government 2.0, Open Government in Spain, Parliamentary Research Network Online and in the Institute of Legal Research of the UNAM. She has participed with CONACYT on the research and development of ICT in 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission, PRO-ideal and Foresta.

Actually is a member of the Evaluation Committee of IT awards and digital rights in INAI (National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data) CIAPEM and U-Gob. She achieved awards for her projects in IT by the Centre for the Study of Public Administration, AMIPCI and INFOTEC.

She has been an external consultant for World Bank projects. She became the Director in Unit Government Information Technology of the Ministry of Finance (2013). She was Technical Secretary of Digital Agenda of the the Ministry of Economy (2012) and worked in the Special Committee of Digital Access in Chamber of Deputies in Mexico (2009-2011), where she was a pioneer  for proposing regulatory framework in the field of Information Society.

She is co-author of National Digital Agenda and author of books such as: E-government in Mexico (2009) and E-Parliament (2011). She was a co-editor of Spanish version of European Privacy and Human Rights (EPHR), International Privacy, Belgium, 2012 .
